What is covered under Laurastar’s warranty?
Laurastar offers a 1-year limited warranty on all Systems, Steam Generators, and Steamers. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use and applies only to the original purchaser. It does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or unauthorized repairs.
If you received a warranty extension at the time of purchase, you are entitled to the same coverage for a total of 2 years from the purchase date. (Please note: Laurastar does not sell extended warranties.)
How do I register my Laurastar iron for warranty?
Register your Laurastar product here. You’ll need your serial number (found on the back or bottom of your unit) and proof of purchase. Registration ensures you receive full warranty coverage and product updates.
Does Laurastar repair older or non-Laurastar systems?
Laurastar only repairs Laurastar products. If you’re unsure whether your system qualifies, contact info@laurastarus.com or (800) 428-2804 for assistance.
Where can I find my Laurastar product’s serial number?
For Lift models, the serial number is on the back or bottom of the generator and on the box. For Systems, it’s located on the back of the boiler.

What is Laurastar’s return policy?

Does Laurastar offer a home trial program?
Yes. Laurastar offers a 30-day home trial for new irons purchased directly from LaurastarUS.com. If you’re not completely satisfied, you can return your iron for a full refund—including free return shipping. Does Laurastar sell refurbished products?

What maintenance products can I use with my Laurastar system?
Use only Laurastar-compatible descaling and anti-scale products to extend the life of your iron. You can find compatible filters, cartridges, and granules at laurastarus.com.
How do I care for my iron, board, and accessories?
- Clean the soleplate regularly with Laurastar’s cleaning mat or cloth.
- Replace board covers and anti-scale filters as needed.
- Store your system with the water tank emptied after each use.
Where can I buy replacement parts, filters, and covers?
All maintenance accessories and most replacement parts are available at laurastarus.com/accessories.

How do I replace my Laurastar Universal board cover?
Lay the new cover on the board, stretch it over, and tighten the drawstrings underneath.
How do I replace my Laurastar anti-scale filter or cartridge?
Follow the instructions for your model:
- SMART: Replace when brown.
- S Series: Replace granules when brown.
- Lift: Replace cartridge when red indicator light signals that the filter needs to be changed.
What’s the difference between the heat-resistant iron mat and iron rest?
The mat is moveable for surface protection; the iron rest is fixed to the board. Both are heat-safe — the mat offers flexibility, while the rest offers stability.
Water & Steam Usage
Why is my iron leaking or producing steam unexpectedly?
This can happen if the water tank isn’t properly seated, or if the iron hasn’t fully heated up. Ensure the tank is locked in place and wait until the green light signals it’s ready. If issues persist, contact Laurastar support.
How long is the steam cord, and can I extend it?
The Lift’s steam cord is approximately 6.5 feet long. Laurastar does not offer cord extensions for safety reasons, but you can position your board closer to the unit using the included cord holder.
Does my Laurastar iron have auto shut-off?
Yes. After 10 minutes of inactivity, it powers off automatically.
To override: turn the iron off, then press and hold the power button for 10–15 seconds until all lights flash. The iron will stay on until turned off manually.
What type of water should I use?
If you have good water quality, regular tap water is ideal for any Laurastar systems and generators. If your water quality is poor (e.g. well water, hard water, water softener, many minerals in the water), store-bought spring water is a suitable choice.

How do I connect my Laurastar Smart to the app?
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
- Open the Laurastar App → My Settings → Connect Your Iron.
- Plug in (don’t power on) your Smart U.
- Press the Fan Speed and On/Off buttons together.
- When LEDs blink, tap Connect in the app and confirm pairing.
If syncing fails, restart Bluetooth and relaunch the app before retrying.
What should I do if my Laurastar shows an override or error message?
Turn off the power, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds until the power light blinks. This resets the system. Always power off after use.
Can I use spray starch with my Laurastar system?
Yes — just clean the soleplate regularly to prevent starch buildup.
Can I use my Laurastar product internationally?
Laurastar products are available worldwide; however, they are not dual voltage. For example, a Laurastar purchased in Europe (220V) cannot be used in the United States (120V) and vice versa.
In some cases, a step-up or step-down transformer may allow compatibility, but this is not guaranteed for all models. Please check your product specifications before attempting international use.
